Meg & Sophie met eight years ago in San Francisco and have been dancing together ever since! They developed a passion for Dancehall when they performed at ODCs Global Dance Passport Showcase in 2013. They continue to follow Trapsettaz, the dance group formed out of the pilot Dancehall workshop, and regularly explore new Afrobeat-inspired classes. They now want to share these beats and moves with the Bay Area community while supporting charity work on the continent!

SOPHIE MCCALLUM

Sophie is a British/French citizen who moved to San Francisco eight years ago. After working in the Silicon Valley start-up environment, Sophie spent most of the last 18 months volunteering around the world. Having lived in Tanzania and travelled throughout East Africa, she developed a deep passion for the continent, its people, and its culture. When she returned to San Francisco, she decided to combine her two passions -- Africa and Dancing. We Dance for Africa was born :-)
