Lydia ‘LydRock’ Rockson is a dancer and choreographer with a passion for contemporary and cultural African dance. Born in Tema, Ghana, raised in New York and Fort Worth, Texas and currently living in Houston, Texas, Lydia has been dancing all her life. A psychology graduate of the University of Houston, she started professionally dancing in her freshman year and since then has developed her signature ‘AfriRock’ style, a mix of hip hop and new African dance. She currently teaches classes to all ages, and also performs with top names in the industry including Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, Dbanj, Mr. Eazi, and Tekno.
Libby Miga is a professional dancer/choreographer/ instructor originally from upstate NY and now based in the Bay. She is a versatile dance artist with years of experience in Afro-caribbean, West African (Ghana, Guinea, Senegal), modern and hip hop dance style. Currently, she is most inspired by dancehall movement and culture and teaches regular dancehall classes in San Francisco. She is the director of the Bay Area performance group The Mothers of Pearl and a signed dancer and model with Rae Agency in SF. As an instructor, she brings the energy and party and makes learning new, sexy movement FUN!
Originally from Jamaica, grew up in Brooklyn, NY, lived in New Jersey for the past 6 years, and now currently residing in California. Jennine has always had a passion for dance and other beautiful forms of active self expression.
Jennine's mission is to influence people to lead happy, healthy lives using dance and fitness. She created JAM DOWN as a means to promote Caribbean culture through music, energy, vibes, and community. Her goal is to make every class an experience as we share energy, love for dancing and having a great time. Jennine also teaches regular Afro-Caribbean classes at Full Out Studios.
She is a an AFFA certified Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor, licensed Zumba Instructor, Dance Teacher, PiYo Live Instructor, and an online health and fitness guru. And loves it all.
